It's Officially Summer!

What a week! The past 7 days have been very busy, eventful, and tiring. I'm still struggling to get enough rest and this week hasn't been restful at all! The best news is that school is finally over. Luke is pretty excited that the next time he goes to school, it'll be at Mommy's school! Lsat Sunday Mia took enough "first steps" for me to finally get a photo, and it was well worth the wait! She seems to love to walk with flip flops on her hand... maybe it helps with balance? Last Sunday afternoon was Luke's birthday party at Wazoo's, our inflatable jumping place. We had his party early so some school kids could make it. He had a Little Einsteins theme, and once again, everyone was quite impressed with the cake lady's talents. We are taking our first mini-vacation starting tomorrow. We are going to San Antonio, where Marc's family will meet us, and headed to Sea World Tuesday. I have to admit, I'm as excited as Luke to go! We decided to ask Carsyn to come along with us, so that'll add to the fun I'm sure. And a special shout out goes to uncle Sudsy - we will be eating at Mi Tierra Monday night. For those of you that have heard the story, that is the place where Luke threw a fork at Sudsy's head when we met them there a few years ago! We'll be thinking of you...

Mia slept late all week, so I didn't get to see her before leaving for work. This is how I found her sleeping one day earlier this week

Mia looks ready for the high wire. And look at that hair--it's growing. The party looked like so much fun and the cake is once again incredible. Thanks for the great pictures. Have fun in San Antonio (wish I was going) Miss you all. MOM

Happy 5th birthday, Luke! All the "greats" are really growing up. I'm surprised that so far Carsyn is the same height. I'm sure that will change eventually. The party looked like fun, and that's an awesome cake. Have fun in S.A. We have fond memories from there. I'll be sure Sudsy reads this entry. I bet Luke could really put a hurt on him now!

Mia's getting hair! And hey, Quinn has that same outfit she's wearing in the first picture. He's been wearing it all week in this 90 degree weather we've been having...
Happy birthday Luke! I can't believe he's 5!!! Great cake, too.
